The first message any number ever receives is a request for permission. Nothing else sends until he replies YES, and STOP works forever after.
A message names the medication or says "your morning meds". It never mentions a condition — not in a text, not anywhere someone could read over his shoulder.
A first name, a mobile number, a timezone, the medications you enter. No date of birth, no Social Security number, no address, no insurance ID, no diagnosis. There are no fields for them.
Takes about five minutes. Have the prescription bottles or the pharmacy printout in front of you — copy from those, not from memory.

This is a reminder and record-keeping tool. It is not a medical device and it is not a care provider. It gives no medical advice, diagnoses nothing, interprets no symptoms, and never tells anyone to take, skip, or double a dose. Every decision about medication stays with the patient, their prescriber and their pharmacist.
Reminders and alerts can fail, and you must not rely on them. Texts get delayed, dropped, filtered or blocked by carriers. Phones lose signal, run out of battery, or sit in another room. Servers and networks go down. A reminder may not arrive, may arrive late, or may arrive after the medication was already taken. A missed-dose alert may not reach you at all.
No liability is accepted for a dose that is missed, taken late, taken twice or taken incorrectly; for a reminder or alert that is not delivered, is delivered late, or reaches the wrong person; for any failure, malfunction, outage or interruption of this software, the network, the messaging carrier or any service it depends on; or for any injury, illness, loss or damage arising from any of that. The service is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
This does not replace supervision. Anyone whose health depends on taking medication on time needs a real person responsible for it. Use this alongside that, never in place of it.
In an emergency, call 911. This service is not monitored and messages sent to it are not read in real time.

Message frequency depends on the schedule you enter — typically one to four messages a day, plus an occasional alert to the caregiver. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to end all messages immediately. Reply HELP for help. Both always work and are always logged.
Replies that aren't TAKEN or SKIP are not interpreted. They're forwarded to a human, and the sender is told to call their pharmacist or prescriber for anything about their medicine.
Stored: a first name, a mobile number, a timezone, the medications and times you enter, and the record of what was sent and what came back.
Not stored, anywhere: date of birth, Social Security or other government ID, home address, insurance or member ID, medical record number, prescriber, pharmacy, or any diagnosis, condition or clinical note. There are no database fields for them.
Never in a message: any condition or diagnosis. A reminder names the medication, or says "your morning meds", and nothing more.
Message content is redacted from our logs after a retention period; the counts and timestamps that make up the adherence record are kept.
